Once you’ve read “project”, you can think about a track car, a restored car or a show car. This is a little bit of the three… Let’s begin with form and add some function. The TRD 2000GT widebody kit is merely the “form” part of the car. It was a tough decision buying the kit and installing it. Why? The photos all over the web don’t look that good to me and I have the only 1998 MR2 in Perú. It widens the car by 2 inches. After 4 months of hard work, the looks are amazing. Worth it.

This is my MR2 with TRD wide body. In Peru we don’t have good roads so I can’t have wider wheels because I can break the kit with potholes around town. Turbo: 7psi, planning to go back to 15psi as I used to have. Yellow sport coils are perfect for handling. I like to autocross and daily my cars as you can see. That’s what they are meant for.
