That Guy Who Drives a Skoda

The Formula 1 season draws to a close, and it seems appropriate that I dish out the awards of who I think have done well, terrible, bitched and moan, and have been a real inspiration.

For the last two and a half years, I’ve owned a Skoda, the first being a Fabia Monte Carlo estate, then another normal fabia estate before moving onto a Mk1 Octavia which tragically died. Now I’m the owner of my fourth and fifth Skoda, a Mk1 Octavia and a Mk2 FL Octavia VRS. You could say that I’m pretty much a Skoda fanboy which is probably very accurate seeing as I’ve owned 5 of them in that space of time.

From not a desirable market to cars so ugly they make the Lada Riva look hansome, I take a look at the cars that were allowed to cross the channel to the UK from the 21st century and devise a top ten list of the worst cars to be sold here.

This season marks the debut season for Indonesia Ryo Haryanto at Manor. Indonesia becomes the 9th country (for the moment) to have only one driver to race in Formula 1. I decided to write out a list of the other 8 drivers who are “One Country Wonders” in the Paddock of Formula 1.

This list consist of my own personal favorite race cars from over the years whether it be on success, or just how cool looking they are.
