In episode 4 of season 2 of The Grand Tour, the trio set off to do a completely unscripted and unplanned film. Unsurprisingly, things did not go smoothly, but that was kind of the point. This film highlights the necessity of planning and to a certain degree scripting in real-world car films that we have loved since the trio’s Top Gear era.

It seems there are two sides to the spectrum of people interested in automobiles. On the one side, you have those with the most expensive cars and they insistently brag about how great their car is.
