Said 8 second car uses race fuel, isn't street legal and is stripped out with a full roll cage so it ain't no street car.

Do you remember the guy who let me ride in his Challenger Hellcat? He offered to give me another ride in the Hellcat before I leave on my church mission (he goes to the same church as me). However, I instead asked him if I could ride in his Ford Explorer Sport he has talked about. He said it’s modified with an exhaust and a tune yielding a little under 500 horsepower. As much as I loved riding in the Hellcat, I was curious as to what the Explorer would be like.

The biggest difference in between utes and pickups are that utes have a passenger car chassis that has a cargo tray that’s integrated with the rest of the body; a pickup truck has it’s cargo bed separate from the rest of the body. I have a friend from Australia who says his Holden ute shares a lot in common with the Commodore wagon of the same year (one difference is a stiffer rear suspension that can carry more weight). He has also talked about how utes are more comfortable than pickup trucks, which makes sense, utes are more focused on daily driving.

“(Alex Kersten) has some good shows, skits, and whatnot. But something about his teenish sense of humor and personality get under my skin.” “Click bait.” “Car Throttle is aids, period.” “(Car Throttle is) broaching on some click baity turf.” “I loved every episode with Phil, but the rest of it’s gotten repetitive and old, at least for me.” “Some of them were kinda entertaining but it’s pretty much Buzzfeed for cars as far as I’m concerned.” “I like some of their videos, it’s their website you should stay away from.”

You may be inclined to think that vehicles like a Ford F350 and V8 Camaro are manly, but maybe it’s a Mazda that will put some hair on your chest? The Mazda is manly because you aren’t thumping your chest about the superiority of American cars or being a snob about European cars. Also, you aren’t a sheep who buys Hondas and Toyotas because that’s what everyone else does.

It's an open secret that putting a turbocharger into the engine bay of your average car can transform it into a fun and spicy toy. However, you don't have to buy a vehicle with forced induction to get something fast and fun. Here are some cars that are still respectable performers without the aid of electric motors, superchargers and turbochargers... One: Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport

There have been many lists of underrated and overrated cars published over the years, but what if I were to combine the two? In this post I'll talk about overrated cars and propose an alternative to the gearheads on a budget. Cadillac Escalade Substitute: GMC Yukon

People used to take fenders and body panels off of cars to modify their cars, now it’s more common for people to add on fender flares onto their cars to stance their cars. I’ve been reading a book called Fifties Flashback and I’ve learned quite a lot about what it was like to be a gearhead in 50’s America. Here are a few things about the era that stand out to me… Car Clubs

“1995 Mazda Miata (Monster Miata), 375 horsepower, 302 Ford, 5 speed Ford trans. RX7 vented and drilled brakes. Perfect drifter, chrome roll bar, and new top and interior. Lightweight and extremely quick.”

People who like to rag on NASCAR say it’s boring because the race is going in circles of hours on end in cars that are supposed to look like street cars and are anything but street cars that still used carburetors up until about a decade ago. What if I told you that there’s a racing series that is a LOT shorter, the cars racing are real street cars and you might actually be able to participate personally? Enter “spectator drags”.

I’m willing to bet that a lot of car enthusiasts grew up playing with Legos, building the spaceship or car that the kit was about being half the fun. Now that they’ve grown up, it seems as if a lot of them have grown out of building things from the ground up. There are a lot more gearheads that put new rims on a GT86 than build an entire car from scratch. A lot of times there are car enthusiasts that do things in between the two, rebuilding engines and restoring cars being some good examples.

If many gearheads had 3 grand to spend on a car, they might spend it on a Miata or Civic. However, maybe they should check out a used Honda minivan... Practical But Not Too Big I think the only practical thing this car can’t do is tow a mountain. I’ve hauled old playground wood, yard clippings and lawn care equipment in it with ease. My family has completed many road trips with it packed to the brim with luggage and people. One Of The Best Engines Ever Made

“What every 16-20 year old who’s seen “The Fast and the Furious”, or “2 Fast 2 Furious” is likely to drive. Usually running a ridiculous amount of negative wheel camber due to the car being lowered without getting an alignment done, wheels larger than can reasonably fit in the wheelwells (giving lots of tire rub), a 3 foot tall aluminum wing, under car neon tubing, “Type R” decals, a boost gauge (esp in a normally aspirated car), and has the overall appearance of an automobile onto which every advertiser in Super Street has barfed a part.

22 caliber rifle: Mazda Miata Cheap to buy and use, not too powerful but still fun; great purchase for a first timer AK-47: Toyota pickup Amazingly reliable, remarkably simple and very common across the globe 12 gauge shotgun: Ford Falcon XR8 Ute Incredibly versatile, powerful but not very precise AR-15: Ford Mustang American, introduced in 1964 and extensively modified by thousands of people

Love it or hate it, the F Body has quite the reputation. There are many reasons to adore or despise GM's affordable performance car and here they are... Why It Stinks Camaros have a certain reputation about them that they’re owned by murderers and rednecks in trailer parks and while it isn’t entirely true it isn’t false either.

The Urban Dictionary definition of sleeper is "A car that has high performance but intentionally looks to be ordinary or even beat up." A Car Non Gearheads Think Is Slow But Gearheads Know Is Fast This kind of car may fly under the radar of most people on the road but true car guys know what’s under the hood; a great example would be a Cadillac CTS-V. Most people wouldn’t expect it to be as fast as your average supercar but those who truly know the car know what it’s capable of. The Wild Card

I can honestly say that many young car enthusiasts don't really talk about bias ply versus radial tires because radial tires are the main construction type of tire seen on road vehicles today. It could be beneficial to talk about both and which one is better for you... Bias Ply Tires

One: David Pearson You know The King of NASCAR racing Richard Petty? Well, David Pearson, NASCAR Hall Of Fame inductee, was his greatest rival. The two drivers finished first and second to each other 63 times during their racing careers, that’s some close competition. Born in Spartanburg South Carolina in 1934, his nickname is “The Silver Fox”. Richard Petty had this to say about David Pearson…
