These are 6 recent cars that I think have potential to become desirable cars in 20-30 years time. Wether it’s their looks, their oddness or the performance. No supercars on the list, I only look at common cars. Cars that could be within budget for our children.

The argument of the button-pressers is that you will wear the teeth of the ratchet down by not pressing the button. Sounds possible, which is why so many people believe it. Which is a pity because it’s wrong. You should not press the button when pulling the handbrake. To understand this we’ll take a look at how the thing works.

In this post I’ll explain how to make an injector puller for use on various older VW engines which use mechanical fuel injectors, more specificaly the Bosch 0437502045 injector. They pop into the injector sleeves and are held in place by thick rubber O rings. Theoreticaly they should pop out easily, but in reality the O rings get rockhard and they’re impossible to get out.

The project Three years ago I bought this car and it was a wreck. The paint was damaged, it was full of dents, it missed a lot of parts and the interior smelled like piss.

Untill 1939 Raidillon didn’t exist. Instead there was a right hand hairpin called l’Ancienne Douane. The left hander before l’Ancienne Douane was called Eau Rouge, because it crosses a small river called l’Eau Rouge. But back then there was a bit of a competition between circuits all over Europe to have the fastest lay out. So to make the Spa-Francorchamps circuit faster they decided to cut off the l’Ancienne Douane hairpin. This artificial cut-off corner is what we know today as ‘Raidillon’, which translates to ‘steep road’.

Daily car, perfect cruising machine. 75 diesel powered horses, although I guess a few have already died during it’s 20 years of life. Got it from my aunt, 1st owner, new oil each 5k, always well maintaned, so it’s in quite a good state. Need a front bumper respray and some slight fixes on the interior and other minor stuff. No rust, despite never have been put in the garage.

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to step into a time machine and travel 10 years into the future? Probably not. But if you ever do, this little Kia can give you the answer. When you first approach this car the first thing you’ll notice is the hideous orange metallic paintjob. I don’t know in which colours the Picanto Mp3 was available but I am finding pictures on Google of this car in a pale metallic blue and in black. Why someone would even think of ordering a car in this kind of orange beats me.
