Driver Banned After Hitting Teammate And Texting While Driving An F2 Car
Santino Ferrucci has been a bad boy. The Trident Formula 2 driver and Haas F1 junior man has just been slapped with a four-race ban for deliberately colliding with teammate Arjun Maini at Silverstone on Sunday.
The incident followed another clash between the pair during the sprint race on Saturday, for which Ferrucci was given a time penalty.
Trident intends to show their solidarity and support to @ArjunMaini_ and his family, for the unsportsmanlike and above all uncivilized behavior that he was forced to endure not only during this last weekend by Santino Ferrucci and father, who accompanied him. https://t.co/Z78SjIjXXH

He was also fined €60,000 for the post-race incident, but the rap sheet doesn’t end there. The young driver was also fined €6000 after being spotted driving from the F1 and F2 paddocks with a glove off one hand. And in that hand was a mobile phone…

Haas team principle Gunther Steiner has said that he is investigating Ferrucci‘s conduct from the incident-packed race weekend.
