I bought my Country about 3 years ago and since then I have been restoring it. About 3000 of these countrys were made, so it can be said that it is relatively rare car. It has a custom made oettinger petrol engine with all the documentation from oettinger factory. Engine was drilled in 1989 from a 1.8 litre 72kw (95hp) to a 2.0 litre 90kw(120hp), it has bigger valves, diesel camshaft (266°). I have restored almost all of the technical side, replaced almost every part. I upgraded the 4wd system, I got rid of the Syncro vacum switch and replaced a bewel gear( used in vw t3 vans) which basically holds the diffs in work and gives a fulltime 4wd (also in reverse gear). So now the visco clutch locks the diffs, the faster wheels slip, the faster all of the four wheels spin (almost like a lsd diff, but better). Car needs bodywork, I have all the new parts, basically a New left side of the car( doors, fenders etc).Car is waiting for welding(money problems). Just got my bbs rz’s a new paintjob. It is my daily car and I really like it, little beast which smokes 100kw bimmers :D. So what do think guys yay or nay?
PS. Better pictures coming this week, stay tuned!
