How are cars and music related? I'm using any responses for a school project, so thanks in advance!

In my opinion, cars and music are two ways to show a part of our personality. I’m not the best in english so I can’t really explain but i’m sure you can understand what I mean :)

The style/genre of the music that I’m listening to tends to affect the way I drive. For example, if I were to be listening to something on the agressive or fast paced side such as black metal or mathcore, I will generally drive faster than usual (while maintaining a “not stupid” speed). On the other hand, if I were to be listening to something more calm or not loud such as shoegaze or indie, I will generally drive (a lot) slower. I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but hopefully this helps a little bit.

I think they go hand in hand. Certain auditory sounds tend to bring nostalgic memories and make you enjoy the moment. An awesome song in combination with the harmonious noise of a mechanical engine makes for good times.

1: Your brain releases endorphins when you hear: your favorite music, and car sounds. So when you combine them both, you get pure pleasure, from doing two of your favorite things.
2: You may classify engine sound as music, and quoting ThatWeirdGinger, Turbo sounds (brap stu stu stu) are one of the most addicting sounds a car guy will ever experience.

Both incite emotions and adrenaline that are otherwise inaccessible. Both make people feel incredible joy, pain and sadness. Compare a sad song to crashing your first ride and an upbeat song you love to finishing your first project or drifting your first corner.

I know for sure that Top gear or james may made a video of him remaking the theme song of top gear using different exhaust notes, This will definitely help your project, just need to find that video

If that doesn’t work simply tell them that both engines and musical intruments work in armony in order to make music or engine noises, which for a car guy are very much the same thing

The music branch of Yamaha built the exhaust of the Lexus LFA to make it sound amazing
