These things are cool! I think itās awesome that Subaru gave these āsupercar windowsā, but they only came in auto (at least in the states) which is the only reason I wouldnāt buy one.
As far as I know there are no manual SVX ever existed ( other than the ones that are tuned ), correct me if Iām wrongā¦
Needs a manual tranny, but other than that I love it.
I used to have one. It was comfortable and great in the snow. I did a manual trans swap and it made the car 100% better, but it was still just too heavy and slow. Started having problem after problem and sold it for pennies on the dollar haha. Oh well, great memories.
Its a subaruā¦ Iām sure you could swap a manual in it with a little modification.
Crap car, great engine. Driveline was no good on that thing. Engine is a monster though and it fits ej pistons :)
I would never sell my SVX. Itās just a car you love or hate. Stock she isnāt that fast. Actually a stock NA supra or a NA 300ZX or a NA 3000GT arenāt fast either. There is more to a car than just speed. One of the best handling cars of her time. Sadly they never sold well because they were just to expensive for a car with a Subaru badge on.
Itās a very cool, very overengineered, and very misunderstood car in my opinion.
These things are cool, but itās very different from the BRZ in many ways. It was marketed more as a luxury coupe rather than a full on sports car, and it used a AWD/FWD drivetrain rather Han the BRZās RWD
Someone at my school drives one
These cars are very popular for the Engine. The EG33 is very strong. However I would prefer to keep it in the car because it is not a very common car. I donāt care if it is an automatic. I still love these things to death.
