Post the best #startercar for your country! In America, I'd say a 4th gen Camaro is the way to go. It's cheap, has decent power, and it's easy to repair if something goes wrong.

The biggest issue with this — insurance. Insurance for a starter car like this would be through the roof, especially with a 16-18 year old driver.

Here even a 206 or a Astra G coast 5000€ in 1.1 and a 4L Renault coast 1000€ when the average salary is 150€… Hard to be a carguy here in Algeria even a 91 E30 324TD coast a 2500€ in poor condition!

I would say: here too, in the Netherlands. (I own my second Punto now)
Really affordable and cheap to run.
Plus, I think MK2’s are quite good-looking. ~ChrisMintjes

In Poland it can be any good used car e.g; Opel Astra F, Nissan Almera, FSO Polonez Caro Plus or even this I I \/ It’s cheap to buy, insure, it’s got a good fuel economy and parts can be easily found (especially in Poland)
