What car completely changed your perceptions of something?

For me, it was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that changed my perception of American cars. I’ve always dismissed ‘Murican cars as, for me, life is more than just a straight line. Corners are where the fun is at. But then the Z/28 came along and even the most biased European had to sit up and take notice. And it even looks stunning, too.

We want to know what car completely changed your opinion about something. Perhaps it was an electric car that converted you from ICE, a manual that made you realise sometimes auto is the answer, or perhaps a manufacturer you hated made something epic. When I was still a budding petrolhead, I had jumped on the Top Gear bandwagon of hate for French cars. Looking back on it now, I dunno what I was thinking! Watching the old Group B films with the Peugeot 205 T16 and the Renault 5 Turbo, I gained a new appreciation for French cars. And seeing an SM in person was certainly something else. I’m now a huge fan of French cars, and am bound and determined to own a 205 GTI/T16 at some point in my life.

This. It changes completely my opinion about french cars. It’s very fast but also a small car,like Fiat Punto GT or Ford Fiesta.

This one is a little different, but I think it still fits. A few years ago I saw a 67 Chevelle, but it was lifted. It was a donk, and up until that time I thought they were stupid and a waste of time. But then when I saw this car it changed me. The car itself was spotless, the paint was well taken care of, the chrome was clean, and even the wheels were somewhat mild for donks. That was when I realized that donks are just another genre in whole culture of cars. From that point on, I started to look at them differently, and even like some. I mean, if you’re going to be a real car enthusiast, you have accept everything somehow, right?

Always thought V10s had a sort of computer sythesised sound, but then I drove one and found that it sounded fantastic when the engine is just inches from the back of your head.

the prius. made me realize that even as something as awesome as cars can be screwed over by some very bad tastes.

My sister’s Kia Visto. I used to hate small hatchbacks but after drove it many times it changed my perception about small hatchbacks.

There wasn’t one car that turned me, but I really liked old muscle cars, than I went on carthrottle and I started appreciate almost everything. And we’ll, there isn’t much usdm possibilities in Europe, so I really need bigger view.
