What is the worst version of a great car?

Today we’re asking you guys to tell us the worst versions of great cars! So, for example, the E46 M3 is a great car, but most of us would stay away from the cabriolet, SMG version.

Dunno why everyone hates on convertibles. Lets be honest, you probably aren’t really going to be able to extract 100% of the performance out of a hardtop E46 M3 anyway, why not enjoy the drop top?

Usually those who dislike convertibles didn’t even sit in them. Sure the structural rigidity is a joke, like on my astra, the scuttle shake is so bad, that sometimes I think that the car is going to break into pieces.
But, unless I’m on the track, it is actually great to have some wind in my hair.

I only like convertibles that aren’t a “version” of a coupe. Purpose built as a convertible from the ground up, like roadsters.. Miata, S2k, for example.. Otherwise they just seem like a compromise.

The sad thing about the E46 M3 is when i was looking for one (before i ended up buying one) the only ones for sale were convertibles with the SMG transmission! It took me months before i found a manual with a hardtop.
