10 Awesome Cars Added To The Car Throttle Garage In May
A Honda City hardly seems like a car to pique the interest of most petrolheads. But CTzen Levi Wallace’s turbocharged City is more than just your average kei car. WIth 15 pounds of boost, a 2.5-inch exhaust and a fuel pump capable of feeding a 700bhp engine, this little hatchback is a lot more aggressive than it looks. Although Levi isn’t sure exactly how much power his car makes, we suspect this modded City Turbo has a pretty decent power-to-weight ratio, considering how tiny it is…
You’d be forgiven for thinking that this car, owned by CTzen Poho, was an Abarth variant of an old Fiat. In reality, Poho’s car is a custom-tuned Zastava 750, which is a version of the Fiat 600 built under license by the Serbian manufacturer responsible for the Yugo. This particular 750 has twice the power of the standard car, courtesy of a 903cc engine swap. While it might not be a true Abarth, this doppelganger still looks like a boat-load of rear-engined fun.
YouTuber FailRace has gone and bought himself a twin-turbocharged wagon with a lot of power and a relatively high centre of gravity. The “Will It Roll?” jokes practically write themselves. In all seriousness, though, this Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 is a seriously awesome (and rare) JDM estate car that’s up there with the greatest sleepers of all time. Even with that mighty rear wing.
Even by today’s standards, the B5 S4 is a seriously quick car. But that didn’t stop CTzen Samoosetrain from fortifying the twin-turbocharged V6 engine inside his already powerful Audi. The intensive modifications to this car go well beyond the powertrain, and the end result is a solid build with top grades for both form and function. It’s pretty obvious that a lot of love and hard work went into this car!
Not every project car is built for speed and hooning. This clean 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS, owned by CTzen Michael Rodriguez Durant, is intended mostly for showing off and cruising. But with a 328 C.I.D. V8 engine from a Corvette turning the rear wheels, this cruiser can definitely get out of its own way. The fact that it has an old fire truck siren just makes it that much more lovable.
Good news! CTzen Sebi has turned the Dacia Duster into a pickup truck! Apart from sawing off the top of the rear end, Sebi has fitted this cheap and cheerful vehicle with a snorkel and BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As. Without a doubt, this is a serious piece of machinery. Part prerunner, part Subaru BRAT, this Dacia is 100 oer cent awesome.
Contrary to a popular urban legend, Mitsubishi claims that the Starion name is actually a portmanteau of the words “star” and “Orion”. Whichever story you believe, the Starion was Mitsubishi’s answer to the Fox-body Mustang. This car, owned by CTzen Troy B, is an example of the extra-sporty Turbo model; which was fitted with a 2.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
The Nissan Silvia/240SX is a car that’s often heavily modified by drifters and tuning enthusiasts. But the visual mods to this S14, owned by CTzen Dark Lord, are quite minimalistic, especially for a rear-wheel drive JDM car from the mid-90s. Aside from some wheels and stretched tyres, the aesthetic of this 240SX remains original, and very clean as well! We could look at this car all day.
America had the Ford Model T, Germany had the Volkswagen Beetle, and France had the Citroen 2CV. This quirky and unabashedly rational economy car was the epitome of French motoring for decades. In fact, this model owned by CTzen Automotive-dude was actually made in 1988, over 40 years after the 2CV first went on sale! Although it’s one of the slowest cars out there, the simplicity and impressive ride quality of the 2CV made it one of the most important cars of all time.
Finally, we have an addition from one of our very own staff members! A few Car Throttle staffers have owned an NA MX-5 at one point (including myself), and Martyn is the latest member of the CT team to own a pop-eye Miata. This is a nice build by any standard, and we hope it suffers from fewer rust issues than our beloved Phil…

Kyle Ashdown ”100 oer cent”
These are all super cool cars, congrats to the owners. I think, my favourite is the little Abarth.
Much nice
The Dacia Duster pickup looks cool….
A 2CV…rly?
“CTzen Sebi has turned the Dacia Duster into a pickup truck!”
As it turns out, so has Dacia.
It was introduced in the South American maket in 2015.
Actually, Dacia also turned Sebi’s Duster into a pick-up truck. But Sebi made it into a really cool Duster.
Those 500 Dusters were made also by Dacia and were pick-ups from the begining. Some of them were open beds, some of them had enclosure.
As i know, this was a special project made by Dacia for a local oil company, called Petrom. (OMV owned)
I find it awesome that Sebi got his hands on one of those, as they were practically sold before production.
WHERES MY DADS HYUNDAI AT?!?!?!
The Mitsubishi Starion was supposed to be called the Stallion
So basically, if I get an old muscle car, modify it, and add it to the garage it’ll automatically get in? Huh. Time to buy a Volkswagen.
Oh boy have I missed these
