10 Of The Biggest Racing Game Crashes Ever Seen
How about we start things off with a F1 2016 game crash compilation? There are some brilliantly weird and wacky smashes in this one (just try to ignore the music).
When Nascar drivers crash, they usually crash pretty hard. So it’s nice to know Forza Motorsport 6 got that right with its game and AI model. Once one driver goes, the rest just pile right into their spinning, crashing rivals.
This crash in Project Cars kicks off pretty slowly but it definitely picks up pace as other drivers pile right into the carnage, producing even more chaos. It’s brilliant to watch.
When you get challenged to cause a red flag in the F1 2014 game with Pastor Maldonado, you know it’s going to happen. YouTuber Tiametmarduk tracks his journey to causing a huge red flag-causing shunt and it’s super entertaining.
Wow, this one is INSANE. F1 2016 hasn’t quite got the damage model right, as this video shows. That is some serious air!
You get a pretty sweet view of the race circuit, lakes, river and parkland though. Every cloud has a silver lining, right?
This person decided to do what pretty much everyone does in open public lobby races: basically shunt at full speed into the rest of the field and see what happens. In Valentino Rossi: The Game it results in some insane gameplay.
Someone clearly put the Ferrari F1 concept car of the future into Assetto Corsa and had a bit of a shunt, but it turned into a huge airborne crash that got a bit glitchy.
This crash from Gran Turismo 6 is ridiculous. It. Does. Not. Stop. The shunt goes on forever. It’s absolutely amazing and pretty unrealistic, but it makes for great viewing so we don’t really care.
How about another Nascar shunt? This one comes from the Nascar 15 game and looked kinda like real-life Nascar crashes in general. Once one car gets spun around, there’s little hope for anyone else.
How about another compilation video? This time, from Project Cars. It’s undoubtedly got a pretty decent damage model compared to others, so you can do some spectacular shunts and crashes. Big grids also help that.

How about you try going at 200mph in a 700hp unassisted monster when the available roadspace is as wide as your car.

Wow relax dude! It was only meant as a joke.
The one who finds joy in this 10 videos would be amazed how you would pass hours crashing in this game
no burnout?
Coolest and most realistic crash I was ever in on a game was probably the one I had on the ‘Ring, just after FM6 came out, me and about 10 crusing friends from Horizon2 decided to have a track day in the rain. No rules no forced racing just do what you want (realistically, most of us drive cockpit with no maps ect, I’m sure you see where this is going). I like making normally bad cars into good ones, so I had built a Raptor into a track day beast. It was actually pretty decent but it wasn’t that competitive because of the weight, however as we were in the rain the AWD was a pretty good bonus in my eyes. Anyway, I was about 3rd in the pack as we reached Fachscrohre? (Unsure of spelling, it’s the third semi straight bit before it starts getting more technical) The guy in front who had no mic clipped the puddle and it sent him into the wall, destroying his car. I was practicality tailgating a guy in an R34 and all I could see was him and water spray, then suddenly he screams “that’s not good” and boom, I’m spinning through the air. With every rotation I see another car pile into the rest, accompanied by a lot people taking christs name in vain, and by the time I land 10cars were destroyed. Our Capitan slow in his Cclass stock Silvia was the only one unscaved and he just casually drove past and said “maniacs”. Brilliant fun
