The L67 3800 Series II is an underrated engine.
People know about the BEAMS 3S-GE, that’s why it’s sought after for SW20 MR2’s.

3sge BEAMS is more for the AE86. The 3sgte is more for MR2 or 2zzge.
V4 engines.. They’re.. Different.
They do have their quirks and they’re not very powerful because there are no big v4 engines made.. I think the largest one is a 2 liter one?
But they have an iconic sound. And they were actually used for rally back in the day.

Not the best of signs…
Not a good sign indeed, although it was named after the designer.. Maybe it would have been a more suitable for the TwinSpark, as those tend to start knocking really quick when you forget to check the oil regularly. At an Alfa forum I visit those engines are also called ‘TickSpark’, guess that says a lot :P
