Is it weird that someone (me) likes it?
Having owned an 86 for almost a year now, the only things I dislike about it are the interior rattles and the squealing brakes… Everything else is awesome, I guess you have to drive one to understand that power isn’t EVERYTHING!
#1-Mechanical sounds, not a downside.
#2-I really don’t get what they are talking about.
#3-Now that is a legitimate downside.
#4-No sound isolation.Because weight reduction, bro! :D
#5-It’s not fast in a straight line.Although traffic light racers are alwats annoying, so second legitimate downside.
#6-What is that obsession with low ride height???Although Prius wheels is really a big downside! XD
#7-Now that’s bad.
#8-It’s a 20k $ car, what do you expect?Leather?

Those guys are a little nitpicky but atleast they are not ashamed of their cars’ downsides and are not scared to point said downsides out.I respect that. :)
To me, it sounded a lot like they were struggling to find 10 things that they didn’t like and they had to get really nit pickey. That said, the prius wheels one is both part of what makes them cool (since you can break them loose easy) and makes them not good (you can break them loose or loose grip when you don’t want to)
Incidentally, I’ve found that adding a little bit of marine tw3 oil to the tank every time I fill up kills the crickets off for the majority of the time.
The only complaint I have is my own fault- I wish the steering wheel would telescope out another inch or two. I’m 6’2 and all legs, so when I wear my Doc Martens it gets a little awkward to position myself properly for driving.
They’re nitpicky because they had to choose 10 things. They even said it was hard to come up with stuff.

Why is negativity becoming a trend. Recently, most posts on CT are just “X reasons why cars are bad”. 95% of the top X lists I’m seeing are all negative for some reason.
A lot of people walk into the car scene thinking all is great. Or they go into a car, and don’t know it’s faults. I find it to be a great way to know what cars I want to avoid.
Anyways, all cars have their faults, and nothing is worse than ignoring them, just embrace them, and these posts do just that.

You buy BRZ and then you realise that you have a sporty car, but all things that you don’t like means, that you should buy minivan…
The only thing that suck about owning my GT86 is that it’s supercharged, and I’m afraid that one day the engine won’t stay with me.
