It was a busy weekend of motorsport – including Formula 1, IndyCar and MotoGP – so here are 10 things for you to catch up on!

F1 grids are always tightly packed with lots of equipment, cars, mechanics, engineers and even a few celebrities. Unfortunately, a member of the Sauber team stepped out at the wrong moment in Malaysia and got hit by Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes, which was being pushed to the front of the grid. Oops.

A camera was attached to a Williams mechanic during the Malaysian Grand Prix, which produced this awesome POV footage from one of Felipe Massa’s pit stops.

A number of big milestones and records were reached at the Sepang International Circuit. Sebastian Vettel scored his 40th victory and Ferrari’s 222nd, while Max Verstappen became F1’s youngest ever points scorer at 17 years and 180 days old. Meanwhile, Hamilton competed in his 150th race and secured his 40th pole position.

MotoGP got off to a thrilling start in 2015, with Valentino Rossi winning the Grand Prix of Qatar. He started eighth but gradually moved up the order, catching the leading trio of Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso with 14 laps to go.

He advanced to second place with a handful of laps remaining, before taking the 70th win of his career by just two tenths, following an epic duel with Dovizioso. The nine-time world champion later claimed it was his “best battle ever”.

The Symmons Plains Raceway in Tasmania hosted the third round of the 2015 V8 Supercars season. Craig Lowndes took clear victories in the first two races of the weekend, having started both from pole position.

However, he was denied a clean sweep and his 100th win in V8 Supercars after being handed a drive-through penalty for contact on the first lap of race three. Jamie Whincup took victory, while Lowndes recovered to sixth.

The Camping World Truck Series was also in action at Martinsville, with Joey Logano storming into the lead following a late caution to take his first win in the category. He became the 26th Nascar driver to win in all three pro series (Sprint Cup, Xfinity and Truck).

The Moto3 race in Qatar ended in drama, with the top two crossing the line just 0.027 seconds apart. Alexis Masbou won from Enea Bastianini, while the top nine were separated by nine tenths.
