In another busy and exciting weekend of motorsport - which included Formula 1, Nascar and the 24 Hours of Spa - here are 10 things you might have missed:
1. Ricciardo on top in Hungary

Daniel Ricciardo stormed to his second F1 victory last weekend, after winning the Hungarian Grand Prix. It was a thrilling race (the second best of the year so far, perhaps?), which included a wet start, plenty of crashes, overtaking and a close final battle for the podium positions. Ricciardo certainly partied hard afterwards!

The early part of the Blancpain GT Spa 24 Hours race descended into chaos over the weekend, with several big crashes.
The first saw Vyacheslav Maleev crash his Ferrari 458 Italia at Eau Rouge (above), bringing out the first safety car period.

Tim Mullen then crashed his McLaren MP4-12C heavily at Blanchimont just three laps later.

The six-lap safety car period was then followed by Karim Ojjeh’s huge shunt at Eau Rouge.

When the race eventually resumed, a multi-car pile-up at Eau Rouge immediately brought the safety car out once again.

The Spa 24 Hour was red flagged shortly before one-quarter distance following a big shunt for Marcus Mahy and Vadim Kogay, after contact at Stavelot. The race was stopped as the air ambulance was called to transport Mahy to hospital.
The latest news on Mahy is that he is conscious (having initially been placed in a medically-induced coma), can move all of his limbs and has undergone successful neck surgery. Kogay was released from hospital later that day.
The race resumed behind the safety car an hour later, with the 24 Hours of Spa eventually being won by the Belgian WRT team and its line-up of Rene Rast, Markus Winkelhock and Laurens Vanthoor. The outfit won by seven seconds from the Marc VDS BMW Z4 driven by Dirk Werner, Markus Palttala and Lucas Luhr.
A rather unusual incident took place after the endurance race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. A team lorry managed to drive off the edge of the paddock area, leaving the vehicle teetering on the edge of the large drop, pushing a car off in the process.
Jeff Gordon raced to a record fifth Brickyard 400 victory at the weekend, after taking the lead from Kasey Kahne with 16 laps to go. Kyle Busch was second with Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth next up. It was Gordon’s second win of the year and 90th of his Nascar Sprint Cup career.

Ty Dillon held off Kyle Busch to take his first Nascar Nationwide Series victory. He took the lead from Busch at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on lap 77 of 100 and pulled out a comfortable lead before he was forced to save fuel, finishing just eight tenths clear of his nearest challenger. He also won an extra $100,000 in the Nationwide Dash4Cash prize.
8. Pic and Vandoorne share GP2 wins

The GP2 series returned to the track as a support event for the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring, with two thrilling races. Arthur Pic took a surprise win in race one – his first victory in GP2 – from Stefano Coletti, who was later penalised and dropped to 18th.
Stoffel Vandoorne dominated the second race on Sunday morning, after starting second on the grid. Jolyon Palmer and Felipe Nasr – who battled throughout the weekend – finished second and third.
9. Stanaway and Niederhauser triumph

The GP3 series was also in action in Hungary, supporting the F1. Richie Stanaway took a clear victory in race one, with Nick Yelloly making it a one-two finish for Status Grand Prix. Robert Visoiu was third for Arden.
His team-mate Patric Niederhauser took the race two win, with Dino Zamparelli and Jann Mardenborough next up.
The Red Bull Global Rallycross championship took to The Dirt Track in Charlotte last weekend, with Ken Block taking his second win in the series. The Ford driver finished ahead of Sverre Isachsen and ex-F1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr.
