In another busy weekend of motorsport - which included F1, MotoGP and Nascar - here are 10 things for you to catch up on:
1. Massa’s excuse
During last weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix, Felipe Massa made a rather embarrassing mistake. At his second pit stop, he accidentally pitted in the McLaren box. Here was his excuse after the race:
“I just made a mistake, they moved our garage for this race, with the sun, I saw the silver, thought it was white. I’m not trying to go to McLaren, honestly it was just a mistake.”
2. Quite a view
FOM have introduced a few new camera gadgets over the last year, and one of them provided viewers with a fantastic view during Sunday’s race. The rotating camera on Sergio Perez’s Force India perfectly captured him being overtaken by Daniil Kvyat at turn four.
3. A heart-warming hug
Happy for @MassaFelipe19 to get a home podium. The fans love him here.. & I may love his kid
With his ever-present smile and laid-back personality, we didn’t think we could like Daniel Ricciardo any more than we already do. And then he goes and does this.
4. Painfully awkward
The post-Brazilian Grand Prix podium interviews were conducted by three-time F1 champion Nelson Piquet. They weren’t really interviews, and the whole thing was excruciating to watch.
5. Curtain closes on MotoGP season

The 2014 MotoGP season has been a phenomenal one. It came to a close last weekend in Valencia, with Marc Marquez – who was crowned champion in Japan last month - securing a record-breaking 13th win. He started fifth but moved ahead of pole-sitter Valentino Rossi and into the lead on lap 11. Marquez finished 3.5 seconds clear of Rossi, with his team-mate Dani Pedrosa in third.
6. Marquez family domination

It was an incredible weekend of success for the Marquez family. Prior to Marc’s MotoGP Valencia Grand Prix victory, his brother Alex wrapped up the Moto3 title with third place. He will move up to Moto2 next season. The result means they are the only brothers to win world titles in the same season in Grand Prix motorcycle racing history.

Kevin Harvick was in a league of his own at the Phoenix International Raceway last weekend, winning the Nascar Sprint Cup Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 to secure himself a space in next week’s Championship Race. Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano and Ryan Newman will all join him.
The final eliminator round saw Jeff Gordon finish second, with Matt Kenseth in third. Gordon and Kenseth were both eliminated from the Sprint Cup chase alongside Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards.
8. Who could he be talking about?

After the previous weekend’s brawl between Gordon and Keselowski, the former didn’t pass up the opportunity to blast his rival again after the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500. He said:
“But I hope we taught somebody you can race clean, still go out there and give it your best and you don’t have to wreck people to make it in the Chase or to win the championship. This makes last week hurt that much more, but we did everything we could.”

The Nascar Nationwide Series was also in action at Phoenix last weekend. Chase Elliott’s fifth place finish was enough for him to secure the 2014 title, taking the spotlight away from race winner Keselowski, who passed Kyle Busch on the final lap.
10. Block wins, but Wiman is crowned champion

Okay, so it wasn’t on the weekend, but last Wednesday saw the Red Bull Global Rallycross season come to an end, with Ken Block taking victory in the final round in Las Vegas. However, it wasn’t enough for him to take the title. Second place for Joni Wiman was enough for him to take the championship.
