This 1000bhp W Motors SuperSport Is A Lebanese Lamborghini
We're all used to supercar startups failing before they begin - last week's 5000bhp Devel Sixteen will probably fall into this category - but the guys at W Motors are keen to prove they're different.
Fresh off the back of revealing a production-ready version of the Lykan HyperSport, Lebanese carmaker W Motors has revealed renderings of its successor. The SuperSport is purported to be a ramped-up, performance-focused version of the HyperSport, with more power and less bling than its counterpart.
The cars will share a chassis, however further specifications are yet to be confirmed. It's likely it'll inherit a modified version of the HyperSport's 3.7-litre RUF-sourced flat six with a rumoured output upwards of 1000bhp. With the extra grunt, the Lykan's headline figures of 245mph at the top end and 0-60 in 2.8 seconds should be sent tumbling. The team also want to introduce a hybrid system and KERS to keep up with the established manufacturers.
Stylistically the SuperSports gets an aggressive front end that wouldn't look out of place on a Lambo, with LED headlights and dominant air intakes. The angular design carries on towards the rear, as body panels give way to an elaborate rear diffuser that encapsulates the quad-exit exhausts.
Production will be limited to 25 cars which will be delivered to customers in 2015. Prices are expected to exceed the Lykan HyperSport's $3.4 million (£2.2 million) price tag.
