This 2200hp GT-R Has Smashed The Quarter-Mile Record
There’s no place like Texas for stuffing as much horsepower under your hood as humanly possible. That’s what T1 Race Development has done with Tony Palo’s R35 GT-R, which has just taken the crown of the world’s fastest quarter-mile GT-R drag record.
With an almost endless shopping list of parts, Tony’s GT-R produces around 2165hp and 1302lb ft of torque, launching it to 235mph over a half-mile strip and covering a quarter-mile in a record-breaking 7.3 seconds.
T1 Race Development has fitted a huge amount of custom and aftermarket parts to the GT-R, including stage three cylinder heads, a dry sump conversion kit and custom drag suspension, to name a few.
Unlike most production cars that have been beefed up to north of 1000bhp, Tony’s GT-R is completely road legal.

Friends with the guy on Facebook, nice dude. Says the article is sh*t however. Sorry not sorry.
There’s still a 3.4 litre 2JZ billet block supra that runs a 5.9. You’re welcome.
E-Kanoo ran a 7.20. They should specify American record.
1000hp corvettes rare in Texas!? Find dat hard 2 believe.
Is this one of the turbo things? Yeah my uncle has one just like this.
Only in America they’d say this is road legal. Here you get pulled over for an air filter. Not saying it’s not cool though!!

This is clearly a fake: there is no smile brought to his face when starting the engine at the start of the video.
One does not simply keep the face grim starting such a car from the drivers seat.
…anyway.. sick car!
Aluminum rods? Have fun with your engine rebuild in a few thousand miles.
pftttt… that kind of powers for daily drivers broooo
