#3Reasons Time To Show Some Love To Forza...

If you’re anything like me after a hard time at work or college I like to switch on my XBOX and put in Forza and slay some tires. Recently Forza and Turn 10 have really smashed it out of the park with Horizon 3 however, I still feel as though Forza needs to up its game.

If you’re anything like me after a hard time at work or college I like to switch on my XBOX and put in Forza and slay some tires. Recently Forza and Turn 10 have really smashed it out of the park with Horizon 3 however, I still feel as though Forza needs to up its game. Now the next scheduled Forza game should be Forza Motorsport 7 and will possibly be available around 2018 or later. My incompleteness with the Forza series has led me to write this post about some changes and additions that need to be made.

Horizon... Is Dead...

#3Reasons Time To Show Some Love To Forza...

If you cast your minds back to September, you’ll remember that Forza Horizon 3 was announced and the hype for the game was unreal, with the game being set in Australia one of the most beautiful places on earth, with more customisation than ever, more cars than ever, and more exploration than ever, it seemed like the perfect game for car guys and girls. However, a month after the release of Horizon, the hype died and people are a bit bored of the game, I full well know that I am getting sick and tired of Kiera constantly telling me what to do I get that she’s probably a very nice lady, but she does have a mouth on her. Perhaps a more story driven game is what’s next, I know that I would enjoy a story based Forza game far more than Horizon 3.

Moar Motorsport

Motorsport Is in the title of the game correct? Well then why the hell can I only drive on a track! There are so many forms of motorsport that the game doesn’t include into the main campaign of the game. For example Drifting and Drag racing have been seen as forms of motorsport for years now, so why are they only available in online game modes. Similarly, rallying and rallycross, now I know what some of you will say, which is ‘Thats what Horizon is for!’ But I don’t want to roam around some Aussie’s field I want to be charging up Pikes Peak or tearing up some dirt tracks in Wales. With the addition of buggy’s into Horizon 3 I should damn well hope that some of this maybe possible. A glimmer of hope was shown when NASCAR’s were brought into the game even then it took an age for Forza to listen.

Stop Being Sneaky Ba*tards With The DLC Content

#3Reasons Time To Show Some Love To Forza...

Now, I like my Forza games to be fully loaded with the VIP and Car Packs etc… But there are some people out there that can’t afford a new DLC pack every month, Forza used to give those loyal players a free car in the DLC but they seemed to have stopped that which is rude of them, as I feel as though its telling those loyal players to f*ck right off. Similarly, with the whole VIP situation I don’t get why VIP payers don’t get anything more than a few extra cars, I expect to have some more future DLC’s free as I’m paying nearly £17,00 extra for the game. Furthermore, Turn 10 and Forza are driving loyal customers away by doing this, it’s nearly the same situation as the FIFA series, as people aren’t allowed to buy FIFA coins anymore meaning that they can only earn in game money which is next to nothing, compared with the price of player packs. So Forza if you’re reading this (Which you’re probably not) use those things on the side of your head more often, they are called ears and they are amazing parts of the body.

Thats all from me! What are your thoughts on Forza? Is the game dead or better than ever? What are your suggestions for the next Forza game? Am I stupid? Have a great day!

Thanks for reading!

The only thing I really don’t like with Forza 6 is the online mode. You can’t pick what track to race on, you can’t look for lobbies it chooses one for you, when you get into a lobby you have to wait for them to finish no matter if it’s drift, drag or normal racing and the drag mode is terrible.
Too bad they’re not like Gran Turismo their online mode was great and you got a free car from the year you was born when it was your birthday.

Fm7 will come out in 2017, not 2018.horizon games are released every even numbered year and motorsport released every odd numbered year. I do agree with everything you say aswell.

While I agree that FH3 has died down in terms of the amount of people playing it, it’s not massively surprising that FH3 is a fairly short game. Both previous FH games were fairly short too. Also, the next Forza game should be a Motorsport game, since FH and FM are released in alternate years.

I think it is incredibly unlikely we’ll ever see rallying or anything of the sort in a FM game, because that isn’t what those games are about. Even if you dislike the rallying in FH, that’s where Forza’s off-roading is done. I’d love to see proper rallying in Forza, but I don’t expect it to ever happen.

Finally, while I agree DLC is often over-priced, I think asking for more free content because you’re a VIP is rather silly. When you buy VIP for Forza, it’s made clear to you what benefits you receive. Said benefits are what you get; nothing more or less. I do however agree that not giving out a free car for each DLC anymore is a strange decision, T10/PG have been doing it for ages so it’s strange to see them stop doing it. Last thing, comparing Forza to Fifa is a pretty poor comparison. In Fifa, you are almost forced into buying Fifa Points to open packs to get new players, as that game’s economy is an absolute mess. In Forza, in-game money is easy to come by, and players are far from forced to pay for micro-transactions. I think that’s everything :P

Horizon 3 is a decent game for the most part, but I don’t feel that driven to complete any single player events. the game is really scattered because it allows you all these choices for championships all over, and there’s no car limits you have to abide by. It’s saying “look, you’re the boss, you have the freedom to do all this stuff” and there’s so much stuff that it takes away from the rest of the game. The first game was great, because you started from the bottom and worked your way up, but now you start at the top and there’s no goal to work toward and no real story

I used to be a loyal forza fan up until the first Horizon. I still consider Motorsport 4 to be the pinnacle of Forza Motorsport. The only negative was no endurance races and the DLC was overpriced. But the game ran well, was beautiful for a 360 game, and had more cars than any new Forza has achieved lately. I dont just want to drive cheesy dream cars. I want everything, I want the bland boring cars, I want endurance races, I want old Forza back. #MakeForzaGreatAgain

I wish it was more simulation and actually did full race weekends - or at least quali. Basically I wish it was project cars but more reliable
