5 People Reported Dead In Tragic Monster Truck Stunt Gone Bad

At a monster truck event today in the Netherlands, five people are reported to have lost their lives. The tragic incident occured when the driver of the monster truck appears to continue accelerating after completing his stunt.

The reason for the accident is currently unknown, but driver error could be the cause.

Whatever the outcome, there is one thing we’re certain of: a monster truck demonstration should never take place without proper/any safety equipment in place.

A multiple-angle video of the incident has been uploaded onto YouTube with the following statement from the uploader:

‘People of Haaksbergen, The Netherlands, will remember september 28 , 2014 for a long time. During a monster trucks show multiple people have died as a truck accidentaly rode straight to a crowd of spectators. As of now, 5 confirmed dead.’

Today’s death toll is believed to be three people, not five. Children are thought to be among those who lost their lives.
