Hello Carmrades!
Everyone’s had a great Christmas? Good! This means it’s time to get ready for New Year’s celebration and with it the New Year’s Resolutions! Here are the things you should have on your resolutions list for 2016!
1. Visiting The Nürburgring
It doesn’t matter if you have been there or not, it’s the ultimate place to (re-)visit. How many reasons do you want to have? It is widely considered the Mecca of motorsport for its characteristics. The longest race track in the world that is covering 26 km (16 miles) full of thrilling petrolhead moments that can cause unexpected ejaculation… or crash.
It has world’s most famous turn, the Karussell, which makes you look just baws.
Something’s happening every weekend, from Moto GP, DTM, WEC, up to Truck Grand Prix!
World’s best car meet is taking place there, so keep an eye out for possible more-epic 2016 edition!
Last but not least, there is me, who likes to stir away all the seriousness around the place.
2. Go Boosted (Or increase boost)
When you own a car and you’re all about performance, nothing brings more joy and excitement than adding a big(ger) turbo on your ride! Carmrade Alex knows what’s up https://www.carthrottle.com/post/wgkz5g5/
I talk from experience, here is my old 705 hp Impreza screaming like a TIE-Fighter when Playboy model Inessa Tushkanova was “flying” it around the track.
I’ll save you the googling, this is her:
3. Get awards
Getting recognition for your hard work is the best achievement there is. It does not matter if you are about show or go, any award will remind you and others how awesome you and your ride are! Whether it is about being fastest or having the best stance, I wish you all to kick some ass in 2016!
4. Buy your first ride
It brings me joy to read so many comments here on Car Throttle from young carmrades who don’t own a car yet and fuel their dreams by visiting and engaging in communities here on CT! It does not matter if your first car will be rustier that Titanic and slower than your toe nails grow, it will mark the start of your petrolhead adventure and most probably influence the choice of car models to follow! Choose wisely and enjoy the ride!
5. iOS CT App
Recently, the long-awaited CT App has been released and I am excited to see Apple carmrades being able to deliver upvotes to all the wonderful content on CT through their iPhones without getting the de Quervain syndrome!
Whatever your New Year’s Resolutions are, I wish you more hp, less hp and tons of memborable moments with your car and your life as a whole!

Nice i will 100% Join the 2016 Nürburgring #CTMeet and now Please Dub your Ring Garage Informercial In German Again this would be epic hahaha :D
Cool! Haha, German Dubz, that’s actually great idea!
If the meet takes place when I have my license I’ll join ya
Question: I’ll be going to the ring for my first time in April. What would be the price per lap for less than 12 laps? Also what’s the insurance minimum I’d be liable for? On say, the scirocco?
I’d say get a friend with you and book 4 laps in Scirocco. That is 299€ for car only + fuel + lap tickets (100 euro for 4). If you book at us now, you’ll get one lap extra for free, so 5 for price of 4. Insurance liability (excess) for Scirocco is up to 10.000 euro.
Well I turn 17 in 2016 so hopefully no.4 will be me!
Awesome! Looking forward to see your ride in garage community ;)
In that order:
Why not
#1. No.
#2. No.
#3. No.
#4. No.
#5. Those Crapple products don’t deserve one but they will get one…
But, but… :(
The 80s atmosphere in that infomercial was so thick I almost choked on it. What about an afterparty at the ‘Ring CTmeet with neons, vodka and David Hasselhoff as a guest star/singer?
Haha thanks! Well, that sounds like a perfect plan! We did have wonderful dinner last year, so I think we should do some lounge chill sessions next year!
Still after getting more boost…
Super cheesy haha
But offtopic my family is looking into scirocco 1.4 or 2.0 as a daily.
What engine do you recommend? because we keep getting mixed suggestions.
And some say the 2.0 is a oil happy car (uses alot of oil)
But some other say its not too bad? What is your experience with the 2.0?
Thanks! Can’t say it’s bad, they are unbreakable!
What I took away from this post is I need a drift car so a Playboy model can drive it, okay.

Boris what is ur best laptime in that 705 hp impreza on Zandvoort:p?
1:58 I only drove once there, right after the car was finished. With better suspension, gearbox, full slicks and practice that would be -10 seconds easily. Maybe -15.
