A 600bhp Aston Martin 'Vantage GT3' Road Car Is On The Way

Aston Martin has confirmed that it is to build a race-inspired, hardcore V12 Vantage road car. Excited? You should be...

If you want an Aston Martin Vantage with a fair bit of poke, you’re well catered for. After all, if the V8s aren’t potent enough for you, there’s the V12 version, which in its most powerful ‘S’ guise belts out 565bhp. And if that’s still not enough, we have good news: a more powerful, hardcore version is on the way.

Dubbed the GT3, it’ll take inspiration from the Vantage GT3 race car. Judging by the image at the end of the teaser video above, it’ll be packing a race car-like aero package including a monstrous rear wing, plus more power, potentially up to 600bhp.

The wide-body Vantage recently spotted undergoing testing at the Nurburgring (above, ignore the uploader’s assumption in the video’s title) is almost certainly a disguised version of this now confirmed car. Expect a stripped back interior and a healthy amount of weight loss compared to the regular V12 Vantage, as well as a very limited production run.

Find all this teasing a bit too much? Worry not, you’ll only have to wait until this March’s Geneva Motor Show to see the whole shebang in all its glory.
