7 Cars that could be considered as the Vipers brothers/cousins. #BlogPost

Ok. Lets kick things off by saying that all the cars that are listed are just my opinions. And it doesn’t matter if it the cars aren’t on the same chassis.

1. 2011 Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale

DON'T pay any attention the M5 in the background..........
DON'T pay any attention the M5 in the background..........

This has to be the Viper’s twin brother, same chassis, same engine, suspension, and (mostly) interior. It also (from some vague angles) looks kinda like the Viper.

2. ViperExhange Force 1 V10

I know you don't like this car Darren, but it is based on the Viper.

I think we can all agree, the design is a bit fussy, like Darren Cassey said in an earlier article. But it’s based on the Viper, has the same engine, suspension, brakes, basically the same interior (albeit with some modifications).

It even has Viper Exchange modifications.

3. Chrysler Firepower

Bet you forgot this gen, didn't you?
Bet you forgot this gen, didn't you?

Yep, this was a thing. It had the Viper’s chassis, suspension, brakes and some things in between. The one thing it didn’t have was the Viper’s V10. It got the 6.1 Hemi that was in that year’s 300 SRT8.

Yep, the Firepower is from 2005.

4. Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Yep, this is happening.
Yep, this is happening.

You might not think it, but this is a cousin to the Viper, think about it. The F12 kinda looks like the Viper, both have very classic proportions, both have big engines (when you don’t compare), and both (in some ways) kinda look like the short-wheelbase 250 GTO.

5. Maserati GranTurismo

Allow me to explain.
Allow me to explain.

Again, while you wouldn’t think it. You could very well consider this as the less powerful cousin. (This goes for the Maserati Alfieri concept and the Alfa Romeo 8C).

6. Lamborghini Aventador

7 Cars that could be considered as the Vipers brothers/cousins. #BlogPost

Think, both are mental, both are made by mental brands, both look mental, both are mental to drive. And if it wasn’t for Lambo, we might not have the Viper.

With these two, it’s a “brotha from anotha motha” type of thing.

7. Mercedes SLS AMG.

Ignore the fact that it's a black series.
Ignore the fact that it's a black series.

We all saw that spy shot of the SLS with the Viper body, so I don’t think I need to explain why it’s on the list XD.

If you think I missed something then comment down below what you think I missed.

That Alfa has the windows of a Subaru SVX.

The Vette is more focused on being something you can live with everyday and still have great performance. They might look slightly similar, but completely different ideologies.

The Aventador? The Gallardo may have been a better representation.

Delightful Citizen (Classic Truck Squad)

Weirdly enough I’ve always thought of the RX7 FD chassis as Japan’s Viper. Long hood, RWD, and an unconventional motor.

Funnily enough some would probably argue the same about the Supra XD.

The F12 actually was desined after the 1959 250 Berlinetta SWB, though the differnce in wheelbase length is astonashing… 360mm difference… also there were no distinct LWB and SWB 250 GTO’s, only a front- and mid engine version (front engined 250 often mistaken with the 330 LM, the front engined GT version of the well know 330 P, P2, 3, and 4).

That’s very interesting. And that wheelbase gap is incredible XD.

I’d say the SLS AMG is sorta the Viper’s German cousin. It’ s the same principle, just a bit more (a lot more) refined and luxurious.

Completely agree with the TZ3, but you lost me from the F12…

I knew the F12 (and later) was gonna be a wild card. But I mean seriously, they both look similar, they both have similar performance (surprisingly). Some have similar pricing, and most are within the same family or have history with each other.

Especially the SLS.

That TZ3 is beautiful, sadly is a viper in a nice dress. I agree with your list until the F12.

What’s wrong about it being a Viper in a nice dress? (And don’t even bother to say something about handling if that’s where you going -_-)
