The 710bhp Roush Jackhammer Is A Mustang To Tame The Hellcat

Expert tuner Roush has just dropped the latest in its long line of supercharged Ford Mustangs, called the Jackhammer.
After a bolt-on 700bhp kit emerged last year, Roush has turned the heat up a little more and teamed the R2650 blower with adjustable coil-over suspension, Continental ExtremeContact Sport rubber, model-specific badges and gloss black wheels to create an uprated model worthy of its own name.

Ford is working on its own ‘GT500’-badged 700bhp+ Mustang, but Roush is there first. You get 710bhp from the 5.0-litre V8 under the Mustang’s long bonnet, while torque stays at an ample 610lb ft. You won’t want for extra muscle on the road, that’s for sure.
On the side there’s a stripe shaped like a hockey stick, if you want it, which goes nicely with a matching item running over the bonnet, roof and boot.

You can spec it in 11 different colours, with either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Upgrade the seats to various Roush or Recaro items if you like, or spec the app-controlled Active Exhaust System that will let you be naughty or nice depending on what you think of your neighbours.
The price starts at $14,765 above the price of the car itself, but that seems to be just for the engine mods, suspension, tyres and side graphics. Start adding suspension upgrades, the fruitier exhausts and better seats and it’s fairly easy to spec a Jackhammer kit right up to $22,000 or more. Still, it’s probably a riot to drive.

Nothing can tame me Kappa
Would take this over the hellcat. Just look at it..
I love how whenever a new high horsepower muscle car debuts we always have to compare it to a Demon or Hellcat.
This calls for a new Grand Tour intro.
This looks quite nice. (I would still prefer the Hellcat, though.)
Lets not forget the real jackhammer
‘Jackhammer’ named for how your head smashes into the seat after you launch it.
Sledgehammer > jackhammer

This makes the new Mustang a little q little more appealing. I mean, aside from active exhaust, this is pretty friggin’ cool.
