9 Ways To Get A Female Petrolhead's Attention

1. Who did your car's wrap?

It’s perfectly fine to ask about her car’s aesthetics. After all, if it’s wrapped, then she obviously cares about this stuff, so show a genuine interest!

2. Don’t stereotype. Ask questions

In my last article, I mentioned the common stereotype of women being at car functions merely for the attention. She may be dressed to the T, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t into cars.

This advice is simple; don’t stereotype her into the attention-seeking box before you ask her about her car.

3. Talk directly to her

This may seem like an obvious idea, but even when you’re in a group make sure you’re talking directly to her about her own car. She’ll be happy that you didn’t stereotype her and that you’re taking her seriously.

4. Do you race?

I touched on this exact question last time. Ask where she races or what series. Nothing would make her happier than for you to ask about her racing skills.

5. Where did you buy your parts?

This is a great icebreaker, by the way. Everyone has their own company where they prefer to purchase their parts – even the ladies.

6. What have you done to your car?

Use this question to build off the last one. Female petrolheads are just like guys in this way; they love to brag about their cars.

7. Who do you recommend for tuning?

If they’ve had work done to their car that requires a specialist, then ask for recommendations! They’ll tell you in a heartbeat, and feel secretly proud that you’re asking them.

8. What else do you plan on doing to your car?

Insert the gargantuan list of future car work done here. Really, female petrolheads have dream lists just like you - and have maybe created a Pinterest board or two to prove it…
