Agree The 217mph Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Is The Most Exciting Lambo Ever?

How do you measure excitement? Top speed, 0-62mph, looks? How about how fast you can drive with the top down? If the answer is yes to any of the above, then this new Roadster could be the Lucy Pinder of the motoring world (she’s usually topless and probably features in your fantasy bedroom garage, too).

Unlike Lucy, however, the Roadster sounds as good as it looks. Power comes courtesy of the same 6.5-litre V12 you get in the tin-top, which churns out a mamouth 690bhp.

It’s pretty quick then: 62mph is dispatched in a mere 3.0sec, and flat out – with the 6kg carbonfibre roof down - you’ll hit 217mph.

New features of the Roadster model include a special two-tone finish, lightweight alloys and an electric rear window and front-mounted wind deflector, which allows the driver to choose ‘how intensely they would like to enjoy the driving experience’ – i.e. how much you care about your Toni and Guy hair style.

The beheaded Aventador will come with a price tag of around £290k when it hits UK shores in the summer. Roll on 2013…
