This Alpina B7S Turbo Coupe Is A Festival Of Green, And We Love It
‘Bold’ would probably be the best word to described how this E24 BMW 6-series-based Alpina B7S Turbo Coupe is specced. For starters, its exterior is finished in Alpina Green, complete with the love-them-or-hate-them Alpina stripes and ‘B7S Turbo’ lettering that looks like it belongs on a 1970s prog rock album cover. The real treat however is on the inside, where you find green tartan seats.
If you want a subtle E24, this is not it. But we’re digging the combination. Digging it a lot, actually - dark and understated colours be damned.
The B7S coupe is a machine that’s fast even by today’s standards. Alpina thoroughly worked over BMW’s 3.4-litre straight-six to create the car’s heart, turbocharging it while adding a new cylinder head, an upgraded camshaft and lighter pistons. The result is a healthy 322bhp and punchy 370lb ft of torque, making 0-60mph possible in just 5.6 seconds. Just 30 were built, and we can’t imagine many of that number made it over to the United States, where this particular example resides.
And what an example it is. It’s done just 32,210, spent part of its life with “a prominent BMW Collector in Southern California,” is apparently completely free of rust, and has an extensive service record.
It’s up for sale at Enthusiast Auto Group, with no price listed. This is the same establishment that was selling an E34 BMW M5 Touring for a hefty $130,000 recently (and it’s still up for sale for $10k less, we’ve just seen), so you can bet that this one will be going for another eye-watering sum.
Regardless, the want could not possibly be any stronger right now.

Thats amazing! The E24 6 Series is my favourite BMW!
I like every BMW before the E36 and E39(list ends at E30 and E34, maybe E38 too, but E32 definitely)
OHMYGODNESSUKNOWWHATILIKE
The only way most ct users would drive green
Green isn’t my colour, but the shape of this Beemer appeals to me
I’m painting my AE86 green lol
I’ve been lucky enough to see this in person. The color looks even better in the sun, the gold stripes have a bit of a glitter effect, so that they really stand out.
Oh, and it sounded just like you would expect. I miss such mechanical sounds in modern cars.
EmericRoddier J’adore!
At least its not a symphony of BROOOOOOOOOOOOOWN
Dark green is one of the most underrated colors for cars. Def looks good!
$130,000 would buy you a very nice Tesla which is environmentally friendly.
But I’d rather get this, being as it’s way more green.
Remember kids, always go green hehe
