Fiat USA is running a series of bizarre adverts that consist of a load of GIFs strung together. What do you think?
Trying to successfully connect with a younger audience is a difficult thing for a car manufacturer to do. In what we assume is an attempt to do exactly that, Fiat USA is using the medium of GIFs. It has employed an advertising agency to make animations for the manufacturer’s Tumblr page, then strung some of these together for a series of televised adverts.
The ads are crammed full of very internet content; one even has a lolcat. The thing is, it does reek a little of desperation. What do you think? Watch the adverts and then vote in the poll at the bottom of the page.
