The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde Celebrates The Coolest Airliner Ever
Aston Martin appears to have a bit of a thing for special editions right now. On the DBS alone, we’ve already had the Bond-inspired On Her Majesty’s Secret Service edition plus the more snappily-titled 59, and now there’s a third limited-run version of the super GT.
It’s the DBS Superleggera Concorde, which is a V12 tribute to the greatest airliner of all time - the Aérospatiale/BAC Concorde.
It pays tribute with a livery modelled on the colour scheme used by British Airways - one of Concorde’s two main operators - and a bunch of neat little details.
There are special side strakes milled from aluminium that depict Concorde, and when viewed from above, you’ll see a black tinted carbonfibre roof featuring the aircraft’s silhouette. A chrome British Airways ‘Speedmarque’ logo has been added to the front wing, beneath which you’ll find a Q by Aston Martin badge.
There’s lots going on in the cabin too, with Concorde logos for the seats, a “Mach Meter graphic” on the sun visor, and titanium paddle shifters made from Rolls-Royce Olympus engine compressor blades. There’s a new Alcantara headliner with a “sonic boom graphic,” badges on the seatbelt buckles milled from aluminium, and finally some special kickplates.
Mechanically it’s all the same, meaning there’s a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 under the front-hinged bonnet developing 715bhp and 664lb ft. 0-62mph happens in just 3.4 seconds, and the top speed is 211mph. Some way off Concorde’s 1300mph+ cruising speed, but for a car, that’ll do nicely.
Only 10 will be built, sold exclusively through Aston Martin Bristol. The price? From £321,350. Yikes. From each car, some of that will go to the Air League Trust, a non-profit which “teaches under-privileged children how to fly, and offers support for them to work in engineering,” Aston Martin says.
What do you think of this limited-run DBS? Is it cool, or does it stray a little close to tacky territory? We’re keen to know your thoughts in the comments.

The stickers are tacky but those Concorde side strakes are pure art.
Can’t I have the aircraft alongside the car?
indeed a rare thing for the concorde to still be cool after YEARS of it going out of service. i admire it, but im more of a radial engine plane kinda guy, like the Condor.
As strange as it may sound I made a Concorde style livery for the vanquish in fh3!
