An Audi Q7 Driver Stopped In Lane Three Of A Busy Motorway Because Her Fuel Light Came On

When your fuel light comes on, there’s normally no reason to panic. You’ll have a nice fuel reserve of 50 or so miles to play with, which’ll be plenty to get you to the nearest filling station. Unfortunately, a woman driving an Audi Q7 on the M25 near Sevenoaks on Thursday morning did panic, to such an extent that she immediately stopped in lane three of the perpetually busy London motorway ring road. Naturally, chaos ensued, although fortunately no one hit the needlessly parked Audi.

The driver then phoned the police, who (after discovering the car wasn’t broken down as they had assumed) gave directions to a nearby fuel stop. Regarding the bizarre incident, a Surrey Police spokesperson said “Her fuel warning light came on so she stopped in lane three as she was confused due it not being a car that she usually drives.”
