AutoExpress has released these renderings of the as-of-yet, unnamed vehicle. It seems similar to the R8 but is much sleeker. It looks ready to do duty in this price segment.
Hopefully in it's quest for volume McLaren will craft a unique image for itself.
I think they might be taking the brand down a tad too far but it certainly looks to be an appealing vehicle, and indeed business proposition.
It's expected to be powered by 6.2L V8 sourced from Mercedes-Benz AMG, continuing the cooperation between the two companies.
The "Baby McLaren" is rumored to arrive around 2012, carrying a price tag around £80,000 (U.S $113k at current exchange rates).
