Behind The Scenes: Team CT & Porsche Experience Centre

When we're not in the office, we're out filming, photographing, bantering and trying to look professional. Welcome to a day in the life at CT...

Wondered what a day in the life at the world's freshest and most contro motoring website - if you disagree, sod off - is like? We went to Porsche's Experience Centre in Silverstone to have a Cayman R hoon at their facility. Our mission? Awesome photography, a banging video and a some good old fashioned Adnan-and-Alex rivalry.

Welcome to CT, behind the scenes...

Photography

Awesome photography is vital to any car review, let alone a car as hot as the Porsche Cayman R. That's why setting up the perfect shot takes time and expertise. You can't just give any n00b an expensive camera and expect him to know WTFs going on. Adnan's a great example; fancy taking the 'perfect' shot of the back of a Cayenne GTS seat with this lens!? Leave it to the pros, eh buddy...

Driving and action shots

Unless you've got a stonkingly hot girl draped over the bonnet or your motor or you're in a location as stunning (and cold) as Wales, static images will never look as good as a tasty action snap. Alex and Adnan took it in turns down Porsche's 'Ice Hill' for that perfect sideways shot.

Videography

Making a slick and entertaining video requires plenty of kit, scripting and a videographer/editor who's willing to hang out the back of a Cayenne GTS at 50mph; granted, you're strapped in with a ball-breaking harness, but rather you than us, Ed...

Moving shots are also an integral part of any film. They give you guys an idea of how a car accelerates and moves better than our words ever could. And when you've got a track and Cayman R to yourself, a full throttle passing shot is the only way you want to hear the engine at full shout.

After a busy few hours filming in-car sequences with our patient Porsche instructor (he seemed to prefer riding with Adnan who "listened and learned"), and doing multiple takes of the introduction sequence thanks to a sudden bout of Kersten stutter, the last thing left to do was to have a cheeky look at the rest of Porsche's offerings.

And the rest

There's always time for a bit of banter in between the serious shooting. Step up Videographer Ed who gave us all an important fashion lesson in ultimate colour co-ordination.

A great day had by the Team CT crew and photography Matt Bristow who joined us for the ride. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled and keep checking back for the buff review and the hilarious video.
