This Biker Owes His Life To A Bus Which Shielded Him From A Drunk Driver Head-On Smash

This biker in Holland was lucky to escape with his life after a drunk driver wiped out on a road just outside Amsterdam.

The video shows the moment a Ford Mondeo fails to negotiate a slight curve in the road, side-swiping a bus and narrowly avoiding a biker. Behind the camera, a Megane RS swerves to avoid the Mondeo, but is hit in the rear quarter, spinning across oncoming traffic. The Mondeo continued a little further down the road before hitting a tree.

The Mondeo driver was the only person taken to hospital following the incident, where he was found to have alcohol in his system.
