Founded back in 1917, Bayerische Motoren Werke (that's right, it doesn't stand for 'Big Massive... so and so') was originally launched as an aircraft engine manufacturer. Then in 1923, BMW branched out to two wheels, which it's still doing today. In 1928, the first BMW car was created, which shared many bits from the Austin 7. Today, everyone's favourite emblem produces small family hatchbacks, massive soft-roaders and a plethora of class-leading metal in between. Here are some of BMW's greatest hits.
