The BMW M235i Is A 328bhp Epic Racecar We Can Almost Afford
BMW has released this video of its fantastic new six-pot entry-level racer
As if we couldn't already be any more excited about the upcoming M235i, BMW has released this glorious video showcasing the customer racing version of the car.
The M235i Racing uses the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight six found in the road-going version. It gets a tiny 7bhp boost, but as the road car already has a muscular 321bhp, it'll be plenty fast. It also gets a mechanical limited-slip diff, full FIA-approved safety-cell, and a racing fuel tank.
At €59,500 plus VAT it doesn't sound particularly cheap, but for a snorting, race-ready BMW, that's not half bad. It'll be eligible for entry-level race series, such as the BMW Sports Trophy and VLN Endurance Championship.
