When we’ve seen prototypes of BMW’s upcoming M2 undergoing testing, we’ve been presented with a mongrel of a car with lots of parts borrowed from the M235i. This latest prototype has lost the M235i front, replaced by a camoflauged bumper with what looks like some rather meaty intakes. The boxy arches have dissapeared too; the new flared arches look to be moulded properly into the bodywork.

The M2 uses a fettled version of the 3.0-litre turbocharged ‘N55’ striaght-six found in various BMW products, with an expected power output of around 360-370bhp. It’ll be with us late next year, and we can’t wait.
