Brace Yourselves: The 620hp 2015 Corvette Z06 Is Coming

Chevrolet has rather carelessly revealed the specs of its new Corvette Z07, which is due to be unveiled at the upcoming Detroit motor show. A Jalopnik reader pointed out Google's metadata for Chevrolet's Z06 launch website mentioned that it has 620hp and 650lb/ft of torque. Understandably, Chevrolet swiftly took this information down after its mistake was pointed out.

The C7 Z06 will have over 100hp more than the previous version

What this tells us is that the 2015 Z06 will be considerably more powerful than the previous C6 Z06, which has 505hp. In fact, it's not far off the C6 ZR1, which packed a huge 638hp. With the standard C7 'Vette Stingray producing 455hp and dispatching the 0-60mph dash in 3.8 seconds, expect the Z06 to do the same in around 3.2 seconds.
