If you’d just spent £2.5 million on a Bugatti Chiron, would you be irked at the prospect of your 1479bhp hypercar being recalled? Possibly, but it seems recall life is rather different for the marque’s well-heeled owners.

47 Chirons have been recalled worldwide due to potentially faulty welds on the brackets for the seat recliner mechanism, but it shouldn’t cause the average Bugatti driver much stress. Automotive News Europe reports that the VW Group-owned brand will be sending out “Flying Doctor” concierge technicians, and personally calling each of the 47 owners.

Affected cars will be sent to the nearest Bugatti dealer via lorry, where the entire seat assembly will be replaced with a fresh unit, should there be dodgy welds present.

Meanwhile, we’re still wondering when Bugatti might use the car to have a crack at Koenigsegg’s top speed record

This is an awesome way to get a recall. Too bad other companies don’t treat you so nicely.

“Flying doctor”… for a car. You can’t get fancier than that.

If Volkswagen would send out flying doctors to fix all of their recalled cars:
