Can The Honda NSX Really Bring Us 458 Excitement For The Price Of A 911?

The Honda NSX will focus on its abilities as a driver's car, rather than shouting big numbers. The Toyota GT86 proved that petrolheads still clamour for involvement and the NSX will epitomise this attitude, claims develpment chief Ted Klaus.

Much like the original NSX, this car "has never been about a set of figures on a piece of paper." Without headline grabbing power figures, one of the toughest jobs the team faces is communicating the car's capabilities - "the qualities that you can't write down, such as driver involvement and pleasure, are the ones that will matter."

If you weren't already getting a twinge of excitement, Honda have benchmarked the likes of the Nissan GT-R, Audi R8, McLaren 12C, Porsche 911 and Ferrari 458 - all cars at the top of the game. The best news for your wallet is that Klaus's team are "looking for the excitement of the 458 at the price of the 911."

The Honda NSX will also feature hybrid technology, and will be launched in 2015.
