This drag race from Car Wow pits the most powerful Model X against a V12 supercar
For an SUV-cum-minivan, the Tesla Model X P100D is absurdly quick. We know it has no trouble beating other high-power heavyweights in a straight line, but can it actually beat a proper supercar?
That’s what Car Wow is attempting to find out here, by racing the Tesla against a Lamborghini Aventador S, both from standing and rolling starts. The Tesla has a little more power and the benefit of instant torque from its two electric motors, but the Lamborghini is a lot lighter than the two and a half tonne EV.
We don’t want to spoil the results of the races, but let’s just say they’re close!
