The Car Scene In Pakistan

I’ve been going through recent posts of being a petrolhead in certain places like India for example and I don’t expect it making a good image for the adjacent areas. Here in Pakistan, the car scene is very different.

So much BS. I’ve been on and off visiting Pakistan for the last 4 years. The country is huge. There is tons of discrimination in terms of elitism, rich guys tend to hang out with rich guys, i.e. those with nice cars are in their own friend circles. There are thousands of ricers out there, people lack clean taste. But the occasional car show brings out a decent variation, from Beetles to GTR’s, which is nice. It’s also great to see poor car guys do their best to enjoy whatever they have.

What I’m most sursprised by is actually the old muscle cars, that’s a fun thing to see. Lots of old Benz and Beetles. I spotted an old Peugeot hatchback once, first and only French car I’ve ever seen.

You feel lucking seeing the only Peugeot in Pakistan … Just try to digest the fact that there is only one GTR in the whole of India.

Must be in your circle. We have young boys to old married people here from hatchbacks to 2.5 Crore Rupees worth Luxury SUVs. This isn’t something new around for me. And as for riceism, meet me up the next time you’re here. I’ll give you a nice tour.

And as you mention about spotting Peugeot. Here’s a G23 All Motor Peugeot of a friend’s from Aim Racers. One of the fastest All Motor 4 Banger of Pakistan

How come i’ve never experienced any of the things from the list? I’ve imported cars to Pakistan and I can’t say that I agree with anything on the list?

02/07/2016 - 11:10 |
