Car Throttle Teams Up With Michelin To Livestream Monterey Car Week 2018
Car Throttle has teamed up with Michelin for the second time to broadcast the incredible Monterey Car Week to the world via livestreaming. The last campaign successfully reached over six million enthusiasts in just two weeks, giving petrolheads a glimpse into one of the most prestigious, exclusive and buzzworthy car events.
This August, Car Throttle will be livestreaming three key events of Car Week: Legends of the Autobahn, WERKS Reunion and Exotics on Cannery Row, where Michelin is a presenting sponsor. We’ll also be catching up with passionate owners who’ll be telling their unique stories.
The first video will tell the story of Lisa Taylor, a Porsche collector with an enviable array of new and old cars from the Stuttgart sports car legends. These include a magenta GT3 ‘Rubystar’ RS and a Maritime Blue GT3. Lisa’s journey with these two stunning vehicles from her home in Los Angeles to Monterey will be detailed in an episode of Car Throttle’s flagship ‘Reader’s Rides‘ series, and the story will also be featured on Michelin’s social channels as part of its #WomenInDrive initiative.
The second video will be a documentary featuring Dan Kang, Jeffrey Cheng, Marc Haddad and Mark Stidham. Between them, the four own an astonishing collection of Koenigseggs including a Regera and the same Agera RS responsible for that amazing, record-breaking 284mph run in Nevada last year. We’ll be following the hypercar-owning mates as they travel from Los Angeles to Monterey, where they will be part of the Exotics on Cannery Row event.
Monterey Car Week is something every petrolhead should try and get to at least once, but if you can’t make it this year, we’ll make it feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. You can tune in to watch the action on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
