In NASCAR, it is mandatory, if you find me a NASCAR race without burnouts by the winner, I will give you $100, or £140 (I think that’s right)

It isn’t maditory. If anything, it’s frowned upon by Team Owners, NASCAR Officials, and Car and Engine builders. Most drivers do a burnout until the tire blows and it destroys the car. Team Owners are mad because they cant use that winning car sometime else. NASCAR Officials get mad because they can’t out the damaged car through post race inspection. Car builders get mad because they have to fix the car (if it’s repairable), and engine builders get mad because they can’t collect reliable data off the engine. Driver does it anyway though. Also, 2004 Subway 400. Jimmie Johnson didn’t do burnouts because this team owners plane had crashed earlier that day, killing 10 of his team owner’s family members.

Last weeks just because the winner ran out of gas (i think it was logano or keselowski.)
This is one of the reasons why NASCAR is a passion for me,it’s spectacular from the oppening ceremonies to the victory lane

It may not surprise you to know that van Gisbergen also competes in drifting in his spare time.
