This CGI-Heavy Video Might Just Be The Greatest Used Car Advert Ever
It’s worth pointing out that this is not an original idea. We’ve people put together epic, Blockbuster-like videos to sell their cars a few times before, but this CGI-laden effort might just be the best one we’ve yet seen.
It’s the work of Eugene Romanovsky, a chap who works for an animation, design and visual effects company in Israel called Gravity. What Romanovsky has done - “for self-training purposes only,” he says - is put an animated version of the car in various settings, from the post apocalyptic wasteland seen in Mad Max: Fury Road to the Moon. Oh, and some dinosaurs from one of the Jurassic Park films make an appearance too. It’s so awesome, we’ll gloss over the occasionally shonky spelling of the overlaid text.
The video was first uploaded on YouTube in 12 April before being picked up by various media outlets over the last few days. It’s already racked up 2.6 million views at the time of writing, a number which we’re expecting to grow substantially.
Top work, Eugene.
