This is the restyled 2014 Chevrolet Camaro that will play Bumblebee in the upcoming Transformers 4 movie. We'd already seen the 1960's Camaro below that purported to be Bumblebee's Autobot character, however it would appear it undergoes a modernising transformation during the movie.

Michael Bay officially unveiled his 'leading man', which has a number of unique styling changes over its production ready brother. Out front the lights are slimmer, looking similar to the BMW i8, though it does appear to be squinting a little. The front bumper looks a little smoother and curved, giving it a butch cartoon feel that's probably a nod to Transformers' animated past.

Further back, the flared arches should be imposing, but they look a little too obviously aftermarket. Naturally, the iconic yellow and black paintjob makes a return, so keep an eye out for another 'Transformers Edition' in showrooms soon.

Transformers 4 promises to be an appealing prospect for petrolheads, as it features a number of exotic motors. Bumblebee's Chevy will share the screen with a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, Pagani Huayra, Lamborghini Aventador and a Corvette Stingray sporting a hideous green paintjob.

Transformers 4 will be in cinemas June 27th, 2014.
