Yep, after several limited runs over the last few years, the COPO (Central Office Production Order) Camaro is back for the 2015 model year, with another 69 units going on sale. The latest non road-legal Camaro has just made its debut at SEMA 2014, and in this two-tone paint scheme with a few COPO decals, we think it looks rather dapper.

Buy one of these drag strip-ready beasts, and you get an NHRA-approved roll cage plus various bits of safety gear, plus radically overhauled suspension which includes the replacement of the regular Camaro’s independent rear axle with a solid setup.

There are numerous crate V8 engine options available, with buyers being given the choice between a 5.7-litre in naturally-aspirated or supercharged forms, a 5.3-litre with two different supercharger options, an n/a 6.5-litre, or an n/a 7.0-litre.

Tempted? You’ll need to register on the Chevrolet website, and pray that you’re one of the lucky few chosen at random. There’s no word on pricing just yet, but the previous Camaro COPO effort had a starting price of $86,000 (£54,000).
