Chris Harris Compares The FK8 Civic Type R To The Legendary EP3

The new Honda Civic Type R is the latest subject to be examined in Chris Harris Drives, where it's compared to the celebrated EP3
Remote video URL

The EP3 is considered to be the high point of the Civic Type R lineage (ignoring the FD2 most of the world didn’t get), so it’s not at all surprising to see Chris Harris use it as a benchmark when driving the new version.

The conclusion? That with the new ‘FK8’, Honda is back to its best when it comes to hot hatch building. Not only that, but Harris also questions whether cars like the Ford Focus RS really need to be four-wheel drive.

It’s an incredible car that’s stupidly capable and very fun to drive. You just need to be able to live with the looks…

The shouty looks might be a problem…I propose that someone makes a bodykit that makes it looks retro or previous gens instead of the usually successful formula of carbon, wings and vents

Ep3 all day. The new type R is a pre-teen fanboy design with a garbage engine choice. Not everything should be turbocharged. More power doesn’t equal more fun.
